Double Security

With Version 15.12, we are permanently retiring the Interbase/FireBird Database and will no longer exchange data among command center systems using XML via FTP.

As a database and local fall-back level, as well as single workspace systems, we generally install Microsoft LocalDB. For network solutions, we use the Microsoft SQL Server Express Edition. Additionally, Microsoft servers located on the customer side can be directly connected. We rely on secure authentification between client and database management systems and prevent opportunities for manipulation via the available Open Source products from Interbase/Firebird.

In exchanging data with operational command systems and foreign systems, we rely on a secure, standardized REST service and not on unsafe data transfer using XML files via FTP protocol. We have collaborated with several manufacturers of operational support systems and with ESRI (ArcGIS).

With these new security standards, CommandX is again setting precedents in the area of electronic operational support.
