Although Eurocommand GmbH, founded in 2013 in the outsourcing sector, is itself a young company, its flagship product CommandX is backed by a combined 35 years of experience in the development of command and control systems.
This knowledge is largely attributable to Sascha Pomp, CEO of Eurocommand GmbH, who recognized early on where the real problems lay thanks to his own challenges in the field of situation management. The customers who have accompanied Sascha Pomp from the very beginning have also contributed significantly to the development with their expert knowledge. CommandX was born out of the desire to master these challenges – it is now a hybrid cross-platform that is not only technically sophisticated, but also developed from practical experience to provide managers with the best, networked support in every situation.

Early on, work began on evaluating analog ZVEI/5 tone sequences and FMS follow-up telegrams in his parents' garden shed. The processed alarm data was read out, converted into alarm texts, and evaluated.
The first personnel availability query was also developed during this time. Emergency personnel could sign in and out via three ISDN phone numbers.
Under the leadership of Sascha Pomp, a BOS expert group was founded in the Pinneberg district, which combined the individual existing Softflex software solutions into a uniform solution for “joint local operations management.” The TEL component (technical operations management) in particular benefited from electronic command support in the areas of reporting, operations log, force management, and section formation.
The then District Administrator of Pinneberg, Dr. Wolfgang Grimme, became aware of the work of the expert network and commissioned the development of a networked solution in the area of command support for the seven existing command posts. TecBOS Command became a nationwide solution in which an interactive ArcGIS situation map from Esri was implemented. Digital respiratory protection monitoring was developed for MSA and also integrated.
In the meantime, the expert network has not only been expanded regionally, but also strengthened by additional expertise from all areas of the BOS. This network met regularly and had a significant influence on the further development of electronic command support.
The CommandX electronic command support system was developed as a further refinement of TecBOS Command.
The situation map was made interactive through the bidirectional ArcGIS interface, and great importance was attached to simple and intuitive handling, reliability, and data redundancy. The previously independent guard information system and the alarm monitor it contained were migrated into the overall system. Thanks to its usability across all organizations and command levels, CommandX became a solution that was well received both in staff and small command posts, such as the command vehicle level.
In its fifth generation, CommandX is evolving into a hybrid cross-platform for all operating systems and all end devices. Both local and networked working is possible (even in the event of a network failure). The dynamic organizational structure can grow with the situation across multiple systems, and the platform allows only those areas that are currently needed to be used. For the first time, CommandX can also be used as a native app on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. The mobile solution offers many advantages for emergency services on site. AlertX is also the first digital force manager to be launched on the market.
The command support software is becoming the “all-in-one” command support platform for public safety (BOS), industrial risk management, all areas of critical infrastructure (KRITIS), and damage control for the German Armed Forces and Navy.
