Once again, a storm system had large parts of the country
firmly in its grip. Following “Nadia” and “Zeynep,” it was “Antonia” this weekend.
This demonstrated once again how important fail-safe
communication and seamless data synchronization are when handling
emergency operations. It was possible at all times to exchange data between
operations control systems on one side and CommandX on the other
in a fail-safe and reliable manner.
Even the fire departments that had only recently
expanded their CommandX with our special situations module just before the
stormy weekend were able, thanks to the high level of service provided by our staff, to immediately
handle their operations effectively and in an organized manner.
Incident Commander Michael Schaub of the Garrel Fire Department
said: “We’ve been working with CommandX for a long time now; it’s
become a tried-and-true software solution in our day-to-day operations. Last week, we
quickly expanded the system to include the special situations license. The storm over the
past few days immediately gave us the opportunity to
put the system to the test.
The software enabled us to handle the emergency situation precisely
and clearly. The reception of calls, the coordination of
operations, the deployment of resources, and the documentation of
completed operations were all handled perfectly by CommandX.
The system helped us maintain an overview
and handle the emergency situation in a structured and systematic manner.”
In conclusion, Michael Schaub states: “We can
only recommend the system and thank Eurocommand for the excellent development
of this software, which is perfectly suited for everyday use!”
