Digital Command Support in Crisis Management – Eurocommand in Action at AKKON University of Human Sciences

Under the theme “Software for Staff-Level Operational Command,” our colleague Finn Drümmer recently provided exciting insights into digital command support to students in the master’s program “Leadership in Emergency Response and Crisis Management” at AKKON University.

The focus was on key questions:

- How can software be classified as a command tool in accordance with FwDV 100?

- What role does it play in information gathering, processing, and transmission?

- How has information management within the command staff evolved from isolated information flows to a networked, recipient-oriented management of a wide range of information?

These and other topics were explored in depth during an interactive discussion with the students.
