In recent weeks, staff from the Eurocommand Academy have conducted several user training sessions in the Viersen district and at the Geesthacht Volunteer Fire Department.
After the command posts in the district of
Viersen were equipped with our CommandX command support software
last year, our Academy staff has already conducted several user training sessions
this year.
In a total of 12 user training sessions in March and April,
participants from the Viersen district received basic training in
our CommandX command support software. In addition to the system’s most important
functions, various training sessions focused
on staff work, using the special situation module, and
situation map management.
The participants came from the fire departments in the district,
the district administration, and the aid organizations equipped with CommandX.
From commanders to radio operators, all users who work with CommandX during
emergency operations were represented.
The overall feedback
from the various participants and our on-site trainer was positive.
The Geesthacht Volunteer Fire Department is also equipped with CommandX
and was visited by our Academy. At the end of April, a CommandX
user training session took place at the Geesthacht Volunteer Fire Department’s
facilities.
The firefighters have been using CommandX for quite some time and
took advantage of the training to bring their skills up to date. The participants
focused particularly on using the special situations module. After
gaining an overview of the individual functions,
various examples were discussed on how the module could be used in a future severe weather situation.
The conclusion at the end of the day: Our trainer was able to share
a few tips and tricks for using CommandX during the training
and was pleased with the great feedback from the participants.
