As part of her summer tour this year, Lower Saxony’s Minister of the Interior, Daniela Behrens, visited the district of Uelzen. In the modern command centers, Ms. Behrens was given a demonstration of the CommandX command software using the 2023 flooding at Serengeti Park in Hodenhagen (Heidekreis district) as a case study.
Following a Europe-wide tender at the end of 2023, the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior awarded the contract for a standardized, networked command center software to the company Eurocommand. By the end of 2024, all command centers and technical operations headquarters of the disaster management authorities in the state of Lower Saxony are to be equipped with the software. Through optional add-ons, further expansion of the “CommandX” software to the municipal level is planned.
In addition to the federal states of Hamburg, Berlin, Brandenburg, and Thuringia, this is the fifth state-wide project for Eurocommand GmbH.
We thank you for the joint meeting and look forward to continued good cooperation.
